The town of Taber, Alberta has unanimously passed a bylaw that ban public swearing and yelling, puts a curfew on teenagers, and allows police to break up public assemblies over three people. The fine for swearing is set at $150 for the first offence. While thy bylaw will be subject to a six-month trial period, there has already been discussion that it could be in violation of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
