Prostitution bill bans sex advertising

Canada's new prostitution legislation, Bill C-36, will ban the sale of advertisements for sexual services. The new law makes drastic changes to prostitution regulation in Canada, and criminalizes the purchase of sex.

However, Alice Klein, editor of Toronto's NOW magazine, says that the paper will continue to publish these ads despite the ban. "We are committed to free expression and we don't believe it's our right to say which advertisers are allowed to advertise and which advertisers aren't."
