Description
Two students at St George Catholic School in Ottawa were banned from doing a presentation on gay rights for their school social justice fair because the subject was deemed "inappropriate" by the administration. Quinn Maloney-Tavares and Polly Hamilton, both aged 11, wanted to present on the topic because they were concerned about classmates using "gay" as a slur. They wore rainbow clothes in protest after the decision was made. The school board is reportedly meeting with the parents of these children to discuss the matter.
