York University reaches libel settlement with Toronto Life magazine

York University has reached an agreement with Toronto Life magazine, in a libel dispute where the magazine alleged that the campus was "a hunting ground for sexual predators." In October 2013, York University served a libel notice to the magazine expressing intent to pursue further legal action. However the two parties began talks, and a settlement was reached. Toronto Life released a statement in their February 2014 issue that apologizing for the comments made.
